Mark joined the Crown Prosecution Service in July 2016, where he leads the digital & technology directorate.  He is driving the CPS’ 2020 Digital Strategy – priorities include investments in new hardware, software and infrastructure; migration to cloud of a wide range of services; building partnerships across the criminal justice system; and contract dis-aggregation. He previously worked in a variety of private sector roles, most recently at Barclays Bank.  Away from work, he has a three-year-old son, a new baby daughter and is a keen football supporter, chess player and curry eater!

  • Completing a refresh of the current client computing estate, and initiating the modernization process of the datacentre infrastructure
  • Creating a new infrastructure that allows for more remote access capabilities in order to enable increased smarter working
  • Adopting a balanced risk approach to mitigate potential risks due to the sensitivity of data being uploaded onto the cloud system
  • Building a work culture that will embrace and nurture a cloud computing culture to facilitate a smooth transition
