Chris Miller is a member of the London Safeguarding Children’s Board and a member of the Ministry of Justice electronic monitoring advisory group.
He worked as a police officer for 32 years where he specialised in serious crime investigation, child protection, sex offender management and the community response to prolific offenders with drug and alcohol problems.
Since leaving the police he has specialised in introducing new technology into crime prevention and social service settings to help improve the response to longstanding and complicated problems
As well as being a safeguarding chair he is a lecturer on the Ministry of Justice course that trains police and probation officers in the use of polygraph for the management of sex offenders and domestic abusers. He volunteers for a charity called Caring for Ex-offenders, which mentors people recently out of prison.
