Lynda, a barrister and experienced legal educator, is the Dean at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy (ICCA) where she has co-authored the national ‘Advocacy and the Vulnerable’ course for the Criminal and Family Bar. She is working on masterclasses and a scheme of recognition for specialist advocates who deal regularly with vulnerable witnesses and defendants. She has written guidance and produced films on Youth Justice Advocacy and has a keen interest in the sentencing of teenagers and young adults caught up in the criminal justice system. She is leading a project to deliver specialist youth justice training to the Bar in 2020. Lynda is the original architect of the new two-part ICCA Bar Course and leads the academic team. She was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Honoris Causa) in January 2020 in recognition of her work on vulnerable witness and Bar training.
