Lisa Townsend is the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Surrey having been elected in May 2021.
Lisa started her working life as a member of parliamentary staff in the House of Commons and has since held a number of senior positions in public affairs and communications including as Director of companies, and Lead for Media and Communications at The Institute of Directors.
Since taking up the Commissioner’s role, Lisa has been a strong advocate for ending violence against women and girls and has published her Police and Crime Plan which also focuses on other priorities for Surrey residents such as the safety of local roads and tackling anti-social behaviour.
In her first year, the Commissioner’s office has awarded over £4million to projects and services aimed at making our communities safer, reducing re-offending and supporting victims to cope and recover.
Lisa is a Runnymede resident, and has lived in Surrey for 13 years with her husband and their two cats.
