Francis Toye is the Founder and CEO of the award-winning Unilink Group. The Unilink Group comprises four UK operating companies and has offices across the UK, Europe, Australia, and South Africa. The Head Office is based in London. The company is privately owned and specialises in innovative software solutions for criminal justice, with over twenty years’ experience in case management systems for Prisons, Probation, and particular expertise in biometric applications.
A world leader in Offender Self-service applications, Unilink pioneers award-winning innovations and continuously invests in enhancing its solutions portfolio to support all aspects of managing offenders in prisons and in the community. Unilink’s reputation is built on innovation, quality and service. All Unilink solutions are created with the direct input of industry professionals and based on a clear and enterprise vision of using technology to increase efficiency, enhance security and support offender rehabilitation. This has been demonstrated through independent evidence from the University of York which shows that the software contributes significantly towards rehabilitation in the prisons in the UK where it is operating today.
Unilink was established in 1994. The Unilink Group now employs over 180 staff and has multiple awards – for Innovation (2011), in 2015 won two awards as the overall UK Digital Leader as well as the best Citizen Services application for “email a prisoner” and in 2016 – the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation.
Francis’ early career was in IBM before he left in 1993 setting up Unilink.
